"I don't want to hear any Mungo Park story this time" - Rivers State Deputy Governor commends police on the re-capture of ritual killer

The Deputy Governor of Rivers State, Dr. Ipalibo Banigo has commended the Nigeria Police for putting their acts together to re-apprehend Ifeanyi Dike.
In a statement from Government House in Port Harcourt, Dr. Banigo said though it is gratifying to note that the felon has been re-captured the Police must carry out a detailed investigation to ensure that all those culpable in the gruesome murder of little miss Chikamso no matter how remotely connected or highly place,  face full wrath of the law.
"I am a mother, and I know what it takes to go through the three trimesters of pregnancy and the excruciating pain of labor, so I don't want to hear any Mungo Park Story. Everybody involved in this devilish act must be made to pay" she said.
The 24-year-old ritual killer suspect, an undergraduate of the University of Port Harcourt allegedly raped and killed Chikamso in his house at Messiah Close, Eliozu, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State,  removed her vital body parts and was arrested by local vigilance group while on his way to dispose her body. He escaped from the custody of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, SCIID, and fled to Jos.
The accused was paraded on Monday after his re-arrest on Friday, September 8, by policemen in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State, where he was arrested for another robbery and attempted murder.
He was arraigned and remanded in prison yesterday by a chief magistrate’s court sitting in Port Harcourt.
