Meghan Markle paid tribute to her late mother-in-law today by wearing a pair of earrings and a bracelet belonging to the late Princess of Hearts.
As Meghan joined husband Prince Harry on the first day of their Australian royal tour on Tuesday, October 16, she had on a pair of butterfly earrings and a bracelet, both of which belonged to late Princess Diana and was gifted to Meghan by Prince Harry.
Princess Diana left much of her jewellery collection to her sons' future wives, writing in a letter:
I would like you to allocate all my jewellery to the share to be held by my sons, so that their wives may, in due course, have it or use it.
Among her vast collection are the glittering butterfly earrings worn by Meghan, which Diana wore to an event in the Canadian city of Prince George in May 1986.
Meanwhile, the bracelet sported by Meghan was seen on Diana on an outing to an elderly people's home in Newham, east London, in 1990.
