A proud Nigerian mother whose daughter graduated from the US Army Command yesterday, August 16, has narrated how she taught her daughter discipline.

Ms Agatha Benson recounted an incident where she got a call that her daughter, Major Tokunbo Benson, who was schooling in an elementary school in Alabama at the time, disrespected her teacher. When the mother got to the school, she asked for a paddle and with it, she spanked her in front of the students and school authorities.

After that act of discipline, she said she never got called to the school for any negative reason again. She also said her rule in raising her children was to "disgrace them in presence of everybody" if she ever heard that they were being disrespectful to authority.
