The Nigeria Police Force on Wednesday invited Senator Ademola Adeleke to report to the force headquarters in Abuja.
Adeleke is to run for governor of Osun State under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) on Saturday, September 22.
The police revealed that the senator and four others have been arrested, investigated and granted bail, but are being charged to court for examination malpractice, criminal conspiracy, impersonation, breach of duty, and aiding and abetting.
A statement released by the Police spokesperson Jimoh Moshood revealed that although the senator claimed not to have sat for the National Examination Council (NECO) exams, a result bearing his name was obtained from the council with Seven (7) Credits and One (1) Pass.
