Manchester United are reportedly preparing to offer a lucrative new contract to goalkeeper David de Gea.
Manchester United are now on the brink of handing David De Gea a significant pay rise to ward off interest from Real Madrid, according to The Sun.
United are said to be willing to up De Gea’s earnings from £210,000 per week to £300,000 per week, in a move that would make him the club’s joint-top earner with Paul Pogba.
Real have been strongly linked with the Spain international in the past and have been tipped to return with a fresh offer before his contract expires in 2019.
De Gea is enjoying another fine season at the Theatre of Dreams, ensuring the club have only fallen to three league defeats. United are currently second, 15 points behind Manchester City.
